fAQ

Why does the Z-axis use sliding guideways instead of linear rails?
Sliding guideways provide higher rigidity and better vibration damping under heavy axial loads-critical for deep cavity milling and rigid tapping.

 

What's the maximum material hardness this machine can handle?
Optimized for materials up to HRC 45. Continuous machining of hardened steel (>HRC 50) is not recommended.

 

Is through-spindle coolant (CTS) available?
Yes-as a factory-installed option with high-pressure pump (up to 30 bar).

 

How is thermal expansion compensated?
Ball screws feature double-nut pre-tensioning and thermal compensation algorithms in the Fanuc control.

 

Can I upgrade to a hard rail version?
Yes-linear guideways on X/Y are standard, but a full hard rail configuration is available upon request.
